Second Time a charm?

So today I just sent out a copy of the film to Slamdance.  I submitted to them last year as well, but that was a very rough cut.  This version is 25 minutes shorter.  It actually might be more than 25 minutes shorter but I lost count.  I really should have never submitted to any festivals last year, I was not ready, the film was not ready, oh well.  I keep hearing that “Life is not a destination but a journey” and making this film was one hell of a journey, but I have no idea what the destination is.  I guess it was a good idea that I put it aside for a while.  It made the decisions on editing better.  When we were so close to filming I couldn’t edit, I couldn’t cut things.  I was too emotional.  I guess a bunch of rejections from festivals kicked that emotion out of me.
