The Columbus Theatre, where “Happy Endings?” had it’s hometown premier has been ordered closed by the city of Providence. You can read the entire story at the Providence Journal.
It is very sad to see this historic theatre closed. Providence has begun a new campaign to change it’s motto to the “Creative City”, and then closes down the heart of the indie film making community in Rhode Island.
I really hope that the city can come to some sort of deal to help the theatre. This is no way for a city to work when it claims to be promoting to artists.
